s West LA. She’s been dancing since age 5, professionally performing since 15, and was teaching by 16. She has studied with the best – including the Alvin Ailey Company and the Martha Graham Company – and holds a dance degree from top dance school Point Park University. In addition, she has been training with pro athlete trainer Mykel Shannon Jenkins for many years now. Kate knows first hand the power of having someone there to push you further than you would naturally go by yourself. She brings that same energy to her SPX classes, helping clients go to that next level, exceeding their goals. Kate specializes in killer, high-intensity SPX classes. Her choreography background allows her to craft seamless routines that flow quickly from one movement to the next, taking full advantage of every minute of class. Having also spent many years personally rehabbing dance-related injuries with both physical therapists and athletic trainers, Kate is a perfectionist when it comes to proper form.

WILL teaches high-energy, fast-paced and fun classes. His approach focuses on proper alignment, detail and form, and a healthy dose of encouragement to help motivate all levels, from beginners to veterans. Will has been instructing Pilates Plus since 2008 and has been a certified fitness professional since 2003, where he worked at one of the most recognizable private gyms in the world guiding his clients to achievable heights of fitness and teaching the importance of proper nutrition. An athlete all his life, he was a competitive runner for ten years, a champion wrestler, and a title-winning natural bodybuilder. He continues his own fitness through pilates, weight lifting, a vegan lifestyle, and abstaining from drinking and smoking. Will knows the ins and outs of training people. Trying something for the first time can be intimidating but his teaching style makes new clients feel comfortable and encouraged.

ANGIE has never been the obsessive exercise enthusiast, but instead values her healthy, balanced life. She used to be plagued by fitness regimens that seemed repetitive and boring until she found SPX! “I never imagined that I could be so inspired by a workout!” Angie immediately felt she wanted to stick with this fantastic fitness program and one day become a certified trainer herself. CHERYL has always been into fitness, starting with playing sports as a little kid. An avid gym goer, she stays active and keeps her mind-body interested with a well-rounded program of softball, volleyball, dance classes, pilates, aerobics, kickboxing, and bikram yoga. Excited by new and challenging ways of staying healthy and fit, Cheryl turned to SPX and discovered that nothing has ever worked as well: “SPX has made me stronger and increased my endurance, and no doubt I’ve become leaner and toner in a shorter amount of time.” Cheryl’s belief in SPX and her enthusiasm for helping others reach their fitness goals makes for fun, inspiring, and butt-kicking classes. “Every day has its own challenges, so it’s up to you to put in as much as you can for that day. GINA has been active in a variety of sports and fitness disciplines from a very young age. An avid swimmer, she was introduced to SPX while exploring various cross-training options. Gina was instantly hooked and seized the opportunity to train with founder Sebastien Lagree and become a certified SPX Instructor. Teaching multiple classes weekly has inspired Gina to advance her own fitness levels. She constantly challenges herself with higher goals, regularly competing in races and triathlons. This passion for fitness, her positive attitude, and her fun, popular music playlists help Gina’s clients stay motivated to achieve real, lasting results.

BETHANY is a professional dancer, choreographer, documentary filmmaker and performance artist. In her quest to find new challenges for training, she discovered SPX and was sold. DANA, a University of Miami graduate, spent many hot Florida days exercising outdoors and loved playing sports and dancing. After many years of intense workouts both indoors and out, she injured her lower back and began attending physical therapy. Once her injury fully healed, she grew bored of her old routine and turned to mat pilates. A few years later Dana moved to California and soon discovered SPX Fitness. She instantly was hooked on this much more effective form of pilates, and was fascinated by not only the results, but by the science behind this revolutionary system. It not only transformed her body but also her mind! NICOLE is a born and bred active-lifestyler. She grew up in Colorado mountain biking, running, hiking and doing karate. Moving to LA didn’t diminish her activity – she kept it going just as before – but her physical fitness hit a plateau. No matter how much she exercised, she gained weight. Her muscles were losing definition. Three years ago, she jumped into SPX Pilates and the addiction was instant. Nicole has never felt healthier or stronger in all her life. She finds great reward in teaching SPX to others, hoping to ignite in her students a passion and desire to bring about bodily change and physical wellness. Nicole is also a certified Spin instructor. MISHA, a self-proclaimed outdoorsy girl, spent her energy-filled days hiking, cycling, and snowboarding the Canadian terrain. Surprisingly, all this athleticism couldn’t push her fitness to a new level. Looking for something new, Misha turned to classic pilates to fine tune her body mechanics. Then she started SPX Pilates and was hooked: challenging, fast-paced, and with unmatched results. She was toning parts of her body that no amount of cross-sports training had ever triggered. Students taking Misha’s class will leave feeling they’ve spent every muscle, but they will also leave having challenged themselves that much more than the last time. She encourages people to try something they haven’t done before, to break through their perceived limits. ANDREA, a lifelong athlete, has always been passionate about health and fitness. Involved in competitive team sports until college, it was yoga that first led her to a deeper understanding of the importance and power of an individual’s mind-body connection. After moving to California, Andrea discovered SPX at a local studio, and was instantly captivated by the physical and mental challenge of the workout. SPX clearly worked better than anything else she had tried before, and she became addicted to its energy-inducing, strength-building, body-changing potential. The machine’s capacity for such variety and fluidity of movement ensures that clients are constantly challenged, never bored. Andrea has a passion to motivate her clients to dig deeper, stay present, and find their individual strength.

JENNA was a very active in her youth. She has been dancing since the age of four and ran on her cross-country team. When she took her first SPX class with Sebastien Lagree, she was instantly sure that it was the best workout around. She was inspired to get certified and help others get the results that they wanted. Since 2008, Jenna has been teaching classes that concentrate on form and posture, while her encouraging training style inspires her clients to get through her very tough workouts. KAYLA has always been a big fan of health and fitness. She once found most of her exercise in activities like dance and yoga, and then she took a Pilates Plus class. Kayla realized it was not only an excellent full body workout, but it was a low-impact, fun, and creative approach to fitness, and can also be very therapeutic. She then decided to get certified in SPX so that she could share her experience with everyone who takes her class. Her aim is to motivate her clients to reach their optimal fitness potentials and achieve their goals, whether it’s weight loss, better balance, cardio fitness, increased strength, or just toning! “It’s about discipline and taking control of your life.” Kayla pushes people to discover their strength by coaching and exhilarating them. LISA JEY is a veritable fitness buff. Not one for ‘drone’ exercises, after seriously pursuing ice skating for nine years she began the search for fun activities that enhanced her body and provided long-lasting benefits she could see and feel. When her second child was born, Lisa was determined to get back into shape quickly and took up mat Pilates and yoga. She loved the core strengthening and muscle lengthening so much that in 2005 Lisa completed Yoga Teacher Training, and taught a combination of Lyengar and Hatha yoga at Colorado’s renowned Aspen Club & Day Spa. Adding hiking and sport/ traditional rock climbing to her routine provided a good fitness balance, but the time commitment was cumbersome. When she moved back to LA, she was thrilled to discover SPX Fitness! Finally, a total body workout that strengthened her core, burned the fat and lengthened her muscles in a concentrated 50 minutes – all to music! At first opportunity, she became an SPX certified trainer. Lisa’s highest priority is to provide a challenging, fat-burning, body-sculpting workout her clients enjoy.

LISA was hooked after a chance run-in with the SPX regimen at a partner studio. Never had she seen such immediate results from such a fantastic workout! She was inspired to show others how incredible they, too, could look and feel.
